Hey Everyone

Other then getting a sponsored video demo slot from Czech Games my highlights of the Shux19 board game convention were the following:

Some publisher: "Of the 40 game ideas that were pitched to me this would be in the top 3"

Some other publisher: "Oh you're the Dimes guy. Seems pretty cool. I saw that on Kickstarter" (maybe you had to be there..this seemed like a big deal to me at the time)

People Demoing: "I once got sucked into watching Pink videos on youtube for like 45 minutes. No way that's happening with Avril Lavigne. 20 minutes tops"

Am I quoting myself there? There's no way of knowing.

So I've done the (brief) tour of board game conventions. It's time now to get the game in everyone else's hands. Message me on any form of social media or ([email protected]) to try out a copy.

I'll probably give you some feedback form so you can tell me if it's better than Cards Against Humanity or not.

Thanks,

David

All of you can say you've been with Dimes since day 1

Pretty solid first day. I was especially impressed with the exposure this got over social media. So thanks for all the support. It was great.

We got some youtube reviews coming out so that should get some more eyeballs on Dimes in the coming days.

We also got a booth at a big board game conference in Vancouver (Shux19) this weekend. The whole thing is going to be a great learning experience.

Stay tuned!

Big Development From Shux
over 6 years ago – Sat, Oct 05, 2019 at 08:37:39 AM

We are 25% funded now with most of the support coming from my network. Thanks for all of that the support has been awesome.

Everyone is saying around 30% in your first week is usually successful pace. The challenge here on in will be to grow backers from outside my network. It's always an uphill batter for independent first time game designers.

A couple things to address this though:

People at Shux were loving Dimes! So much Czech Games (maker of Code Names) decided to sponsor a video feature of Dimes with the Shut Up and Shit Down guys (biggest board game review channel on youtube).  That will be coming out later in the campaign.

We also have a youtube review out now from the Undead Viking.  Watch it here. Pretty spot on assessment of it being a casual party game that can work for any crowd. Feel free to share it to people curious about the game.

Thanks,

David
